The ambitious "Chain Reaction Now" is at the center of the album, going back and forth between wailing electric guitar and pastoral synth and harp. This is followed by a trio of mainly acoustic tunes, with "Aliso" decked out with a quasi-Spanish trumpet and a shuffling marimba break. The final cut, "The First 21st Century Escape," is a powerful slice of post-apocalyptic rock, with rumbling thunder, crashing cymbals, insistent sawing cellos and some searing electric lead.

James Jeffrey Weider (born 1951) is an American guitarist best known for his work with the Band. He joined the reformed version of the Band in 1985 to replace original guitarist Robbie Robertson. A native of Woodstock, New York, Weider was born in 1951 and began playing guitar at age 11. Some of his early influences included Chuck Berry, James Burton and Scotty Moore. While still a teenager in Woodstock, he became acquainted with Levon Helm and was exposed to the Band's music.

Ultimate Classic Rock ranks John Lennon's studio efforts, from worst to best. Of all the Beatles, John Lennon is the one with the most wayward solo discography. Before his tragic death in 1980, Lennon released only 10 albums, and three of those were experimental records made with wife Yoko Ono. There's also a half-live album and an all-covers LP in this mix. Plus, our list of John Lennon Albums Ranked Worst to Best includes the posthumous 1984 LP Milk and Honey, a sequel to 1980's Double Fantasy comeback that he was working on at the time of his death. Together, these 11 works will forever define the most complicated Beatle. You Think You Know the Beatles?

In March 1966 John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers recorded the brilliant album, Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton at Decca’s Studios in West Hampstead, North London. It’s affectionately known as the Beano album as it features Clapton reading the British comic on its cover. The album comprises of band originals, mostly written by Mayall and blues classics and features Clapton playing a 1960 Gibson Les Paul Standard guitar and Marshall amplifier, having swapped it for his Fender Telecaster and Vox AC30 amplifier. The album was released on 22 July 1966 and proved the breakthrough that Mayall was seeking when it made N. on the UK album charts.
