Blind is the fourth album by The Icicle Works Contents.

As early as the Icicle Works' second album, it became obvious that singer/songwriter Ian McNabb had little interest in further pursuing his career as a new wave tunesmith in the manner of his only . hit, "Love Is a Wonderful Colour. Still, stylistic nods to Neil Young, Van Morrison, and Motown on post-1984 recordings could have hardly prepared the causal Icicle Works fan for the all-over-the-map musical journey that represented the original lineup's fourth and final album, Blind.

Apart from one or two cheesy moments- principally "what do you want me to do", this is a fine album showcasing the band's considerable talents. The false stop of "shit creek" blasting into"high time" with the archetypal Sharrock drum salvo is one of those moments that takes you back to the first time you heard it. (Borth) The title track is classic McNabb, all wry lyrics, a great tune and world-weary sentiment. Little girl lost and starry blue eyed wonder went on to become live staples. It's unlikely that anyone would listen to this and love every second, but you'd be hard pushed to love none of it.
